When You sit your postural muscles shorten. Then when you stand up they unwind too quickly and like a spring they release very quickly and come to a point where they cannot unwind any more. This limit of movement into a backward or extended position continues to repeat everytime we go to stand up. Eventually the opposite muscles to these never totally get back to their ‘home’ position. This results in these ( Back Muscles) not working properly. They loose the ability to nourish themselves and become ischemic ( lacking blood ) when this happens these muscles then start to dehydrate and deteriorate. They then become painful. this is why you feel pain into your back. But this is not where the problem is. This is where you feel your pain but it is not where you go to treat that pain.

If you want to be rid of your ‘Back’ pain for good, you need to treat the Soaz. Call us at Posturepro to get these checked.

When I Have Tried So Many Different Things!

This would be the most asked question I get in my clinic from New People who come to me with persistent Low Back Pain. They tell me about all the various treatment approaches they have tried and some lasting longer than others but eventually their Back pain still returns.

One of the ways I used to answer this question before Soaztherapy, was to assume it was something They had done to undo all my good work. One typical question might be “what have you been doing to make it painful”. Another question was about whether they have been doing their exercises. This of course Puts all of the Blame back onto them . This approach then makes them feel like a failure this is not the frame of mind to help themselves or me as their therapist.

Because I now know better, I explain to them How their Back gets Painful and What the answer is to avoid that Long Term Call us at Posturepro our approach may just be the answer for you

Treatment guided by intuition

Today I fixed a shoulder that had very little movement. Could only lift arm just past hip. I had tried my physiotherapy techniques for the first couple visits with little improve. Then I had an intuition to go to the left calf. On the visit today to my surprise her left calf was thick tight and painful. I did trigger point on the calf. She got up and could raise her arm to full height. Need to listen to that inner voice more often.

Did you know that the body you had yesterday, is not the one you have today. The bodies cells are constantly rebirthing and creating themselves anew. therefore when you injure yourself, the body immediately starts to scoop up the injured tissues and starts to renew the site of injury Without any help from Us – its automatic. So, the only thing we really need to do to assist this process is to provide the right internal environment to allow the body to get on with what it naturally does. So, having a great internal structure for the spine to send the messages to the individual cells is the best thing we can do to assist. Having a great spinal allignment will aid and speed up this process. The soaz muscle is intrinsic to this process because when working optimally it will keep the spinal alignment in good balance therefore promoting healing. Make sure to eat healthy and flush out the toxins by drinking about 6-8 glasses of room temperature water a day and keeping some moderate form of exercise like brisk walking at least 5 times per week and your injuries will heal in a timely fashion. So to answer my question why? the body doesnt know any other way.

Workout Injuries and how to Prevent them

As a Physiotherapist, I see many people who injure themselves in an attempt to get themselves fit and healthy. the downside of this is that they sometimes never return to their fitness or gym programme. The typical sequence of events is that when someone injures they will seek out a physiotherapist. The first thing they will advise is to stop the aggravating activity while they undertake treatment. When the person is ready to return to their fitness regime, they may decide not to go back to where they injured themselves for fear of reinjury. They may consider that the personal trainer did not take due care to make sure they had good technique and follow through. This person may then start looking around for another facility or worse not bother to return at all, especially if that injury has had an impact on the performance of their job, or personal life.

One of the major causes or recurrent workout injury is not having an optimal posture before beginning in the gym. This results in extra strain over joints especially in the spine when executing an exercise. The main postural muscle in the body is the Soaz muscle. Before even beginning a gym programme or starting at a fitness centre I recommend getting your Soaz checked and working optimally to reduce and even prevent many workout injuries from occuring and reoccuring.
